Pomegranate Guacamole Recipe and Gift-Pack Idea

This is by far our all time favorite holiday guacamole recipe, and since Scott is in the avocado industry we have tried many, so this one is tried and true! Not only does this make a yummy appetizer but when the ingredients are packaged up it makes a beautiful gift for the avocado lover in your life, the hostess of that holiday party or your favorite neighbor.

To make the gift box I combined 3-4 avocados, a lime and a pomegranate.

Then tie the box with some beautiful ribbon and add a tag with the recipe. There is something about ribbons and tags that makes me so happy! Who wouldn’t love such a delightful gift that can be eaten and is full of antioxidants?

3-4 ripe avocados

juice from 1 lime (1-2 TBSP)

3 TBSP pomegranate arils

2 TBSP chopped green onion

2 cloves minced garlic

2 TBSP canned green chilies

2 TBSP finely chopped fresh cilantro

salt to taste

Combine all ingredients except for avocados and lime juice and toss. Add salt and let sit while you mash your avocados. When you are happy with the consistency of your avocado add in your pomegranate pico with lime juice and additional salt and taste test.

ENJOY! With the bright red pomegranate arils and the sweetness of their crunch this really is the most festive and scrumptious guacamole for the season.
